Hello my name is Kanikia. My mom died from Scleroderma last year, July 10th. She was a great person, and she is missed badly.

We didn't even see it coming. We were wondering why my mom sweet were swollen up and why she start slowing down on doing things. At first the doctors thought it was lupus, but finally they told her it was Scleroderma. She wasn't to surprised because she knew something was wrong with her, but this illness was new to the whole family. So we were in the dark. Then we finally start to see what it can do to a person. My mom skin started to tighten up and discolorations appeared. It was very scary. My mom lost a lot of weight from this disease.

Well she found out that she had this disease June of 2000 and died July of 2000. The thing about it is that she was in a myriad of pain because she had cancer to. She was diagnosed with these around the same time.

Well I have to end my story here. I wish I could tell more, but I didn't know much about it. I didn't want to see it. My mom left behind 4 beautiful children. A son which is 16. She left behind three daughters the ages of eight, 12, and (me) 13.

I know my mom have the resurrection hope. John 5:28,29. I also find comfort in the scripture at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
